Research

The overarching goal of Dr. Robinson's research is to contribute to the advancement of psychological and neuropsychological assessment. His work falls under two main categories: 1) Test development and validation and 2) Examining factors that impact assessment and cognitive function (e.g., psychopathology, response bias, personality). He also has a secondary line of research focused on transdiagostic risk factors for psychopathology (e.g., perfectionism). As Dr. Robinson has expertise in advanced statistical methodologies he also frequently collaborates on research outside of his primary research areas as a statistician/data scientist.

Dr. Robinson plans to expand his work to include investigating the psychometric properties of neuropsychological assessment tools in underrepresented populations and examining factors that impact psychological and neuropsychological test performance in Black individuals. This work will be conducted in collaboration with the Institute of Gerontology and the Healthier Black Elders Center.
