April Vollmer
April (she/her) is a second-year doctoral student studying Developmental Science under the mentorship of Dr. Olivenne Skinner. She has a M.A. in Psychological Sciences from Northern Arizona University and a B.S. of Psychology and Spanish from the University of Denver. She completed courses as an international student at both the Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica in Heredia, Costa Rica and Universidad Internacional Menéndez y Pelayo in Santander, Spain.
Research interest(s)/area of expertise
April (she/her) uses ecological system theories to study adolescent identity and academic development to address and advocate for positive youth development in underserved populations.
