Harmony Durden

(Mx.) Harmony Durden is the administrative assistant III with the Departments of Anthropology and Criminology and Criminal Justice at Wayne State University. She completed her M.A. in Youth and Community Development from Western Michigan University. Prior to joining Wayne State, Harmony worked with the TRIO Student Support Services-Teacher Preparation program also known as TRIO Future Educator Success Program as an administrative assistant.

Her passion is working with and learning from young people and working in the community that she lives in. She has spent much of her time working with organizations such as Boys and Girls Club of Kalamazoo, Fire Historical and Cultural Arts Collaborative, Razas Unidad, Youth Development Network and Project X Kalamazoo.They are excited to start a new beginning in the Metro Detroit area and learn about the new opportunities that are available.
