Lisa Dobbs

I have worked as an Academic Services Officer in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences since 2015. In this position, I oversee the operational and administrative activities for student services within the college. I am also the college's undergraduate degree certification officer. I have led increased organizational performance, reducing time of degree certifications from eight weeks to only thirty days. I continue to identify and implement changes by analyzing current operations and developing alternatives to continuously improve student services in the College.

Prior to coming to CLAS, I held the position of Degree Audit and Graduation Manager in the Office of the Registrar where I oversaw implementation of Degree Works, collaborating effectively with Deans and academic advisors to ensure correct degree requirements. I also facilitated the Degree Works trainings for all university, college, department, and student services staff. I was an integral part of the Enrollment Management team that created the university S.M.A.R.T. Check process, enabling students to learn about the academic and financial effects of potential course withdrawal.

I assist with a variety of campus-wide initiatives, including AP Day, Scholars Day and Commencement. I currently serve on numerous college committees and previously served as Treasurer of the President's Commission on the Status of Women (COSW).
