I was born in Washington, DC, to a Spanish mom and a Colombian father, but grew up in Brazil, where I learned Portuguese after learning Spanish. I have been teaching Spanish for over 25 years in Universities and Colleges in Brazil, US and Canada. I have earned a Master Degree in Bilingual/Bicultural Education from Wayne State University, and I am currently interested in a variety of methodologies for teaching and learning foreign languages, such as multicultural, project-based and socio-cultural approaches. I love teaching Spanish and enjoy spending time with my students, talking, learning, playing games, cooking or even dancing to Hispanic rhythms. I live in Windsor, Ontario, with my family; Canada has been home for 20 years now.
