Aaron Hardy-Smith
Aaron Hardy-Smith, M.A., CCC-SLP, Ed.S. assistant professor-clinical, earned her B.S. and M.A. degrees in Speech Language Pathology from Western Michigan University. In 2018 she earned her Education Specialist certification in Special Education Administration. Aaron has worked in myriad contexts and began her career as a school-based speech language pathologist. Most recently she served as director of speech language pathology at MetroEHS Pediatric Therapy Company.
Her professional interests include serving preschool-school age children with speech and language impairments, culturally responsive practices, and mentoring early career professionals and leaders. She remains active in professional organizations and was selected by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association for the class of 2024 Leadership Development Program. She also serves as a member of the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee for the Michigan Speech Language and Hearing Association, as well as the Partnerships Committee for the National Black Association for Speech-Language and Hearing.
